“The only source of knowledge is experience.”

-Albert Einstein

My name is Chris Miller, and I am running for Trustee of the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District. Making decisions that balance the needs of the students, parents, staff, and the community presents a challenge because we live in an age of uncertainty concerning climate, funding, and security. In addition, fewer people are entering the teaching profession.

No university course or training program can teach a person to make the right decisions on the school board. All we have are personal experiences that shape our individual decision-making process.

My experience includes: being an elected member of the Los Gatos Union School District Board of Trustees (2004-2012), serving on the high school district's bond oversight, parcel tax, and budget advisory committees, working on state, county, and local committees to address the mental health needs of students, and working on educational projects with Rotary international. Currently, I am a high school teacher.

Please vote for me because experience matters.
